NEW YEAR’S EVE OUTFIT | 12 Days of Vlogmas | Day 10

Since today is actually the 10th day of 12 days of Vlogmas, I have some catching up to do. So you get two posts in one day. :o) Be sure not to miss Day 9!

Have you ever needed an outfit for a wedding, party, or other occasion, and wanted to step out in something more interesting than your little black dress, or whatever you could find the day before on the clearance rack? Me, too.

Turns out there are lots of things you can wear to an event besides a dress or skirt. To name a few:  flowing, high-collared tops, well-cut pantsuits, and coat dresses.

You can also glam up a regular dress with accessories and outerwear. Specifically, an “evening coat,” about which more in the video.

Continuing through Lucia van der Post’s book, Things I Wish My Mother Had Told Me, for Vlogmas Day 10 I get into the concept of “occasion dressing” and share some of Van der Post’s off-the-beaten-path ideas for looking glamourous. I also do a try on of the outfit I had in mind, although unfortunately for me it looks like we’re back to the drawing board.
