I feel like everyone has gone crazy over the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Artist Palette, and (I’ve found) with good reason.
The formula is creamy, rich, and easy to work with. I would compare the texture to the Stila 10 pan palette that I’ve used in my videos; nothing else comes close. Getting twelve different colors for $30 is a steal.
That said, I feel like everyone who has been posting about it on Instagram has been showcasing the palette with over-the-top (albeit gorgeous) looks.
How many of us can show up to work or class with bright yellow shadow blended out all over our lower lash line?
Applying some of the more neutral colors in the palette with less intensity, I came up with the following:
The primary lid color is Beigely. Outer corner is Baby I’m a Star, and I used Anaconda to blend the outer corner into the lid. The lower lash line is Blue Velvet, which I used instead of smudging out my usual eyeliner. The inner corner is Orange You Fancy, just to lighten up the darker colors and balance out the look. Rockin’ the natural brow as well to reduce the drama.
I have some ideas for the cool tones in the palette as well, so stay tuned. 😉
